In-class Writing 2

On the walk from my residence hall to my classroom, I encounter several examples of visual rhetoric. Down the hall from my room, my RA's door is plastered with posters and flyers for upcoming events, as well as a brief note reminding residents to finish writing their roommate agreements. Near the stairs is a large bulletin board with a big poster telling how to make the residence hall a nice place to live. One I get out the door, there are students sporting labels on their clothes. Interesting logos, slogans, and quips flash at me. I take a shortcut through Woodworth's dining hall. There are lots of signs for different restaurants in there. Once I make it to the Robert Bell building, I see flyers for writers club and advertisements for affordable LSAT preparation classes. Lots of people have their laptops, and these laptops all have the logo of their manufacturer. Most common is Apple's famous apple.
It is interesting to think about how much rhetoric is thrown at you every day. It seems that everyone wants to get your attention.
