in class writing 1

A positive writing experience happened when I was in my sophomore year of high school, I had one of the best english teachers for helping with writing. She sat down with me one day during my study period and helped me do my essay for class, she had me start my essay then break down and explain to her the point I was trying to get across. She then explained to me the proper way to explain my idea so other people would understand my point as well. Sitting one on one with someone and just having them correct my mistakes and show me the proper way was exactly what I needed. My ending grade on the essay was an A, which is something I have never gotten on an essay before that day. Writing is still very hard for me but she improved my writing that day and showed me how to improve it ever since.

A negative reading experience for me was being assigned a two chapters a night that were 30 pages each, and the book being the hardest book I have ever read before. It was very over whelming and made me love reading for school less. I prefer to read at my own pace of understanding a book and not being forced into reading it faster than I can understand.
