For this assignment I chose two anti-smoking advertisements, both using the logos appeal, with one displaying logos through words while the other does not. The ad that has the words displays a previous female smoker showing her hands that have many missing fingers with the caption "I chose to smoke, this is what it cost me." This uses the logos appeal because obviously no wants to lose their fingers, so its only logical not to smoke. The second ad I chose depicts a set of human lungs with a hole burning through it due to smoking. With no captions, this image has the implication that smoking will cause damage to your lungs. This uses the logos appeal because lung damage is no joke, so its only logical not to smoke.
