MP4 Zero Draft

Teenage Parents Slowly Declining

1. Introduction:

  • HOOK: Briefly describe the current day birthrate and how it is declining and currently at it's all time low.
  • THESIS: Slowly but surly the birthrate is slowing down due to the fact that teen pregnancy is declining as the rates are currently at it's all time low since the 1940's, I want to inform myself as well as the readers as to why our current day birthrate statistic is lower than it has ever been.
  • IMPLICATIONS: The cause of the decline come from the uprising use of dual contraceptives as well as teenagers waiting to have sex.
2. Modern Day Statistics:
  • Currently the statistics are continuing to lower, we are at the lowest rate since 1946.
3. Some Opinions Vs. Others:
  • Many people have different opinions as to why the rate is declining, some believe the recession is the main cause for this, however the recession has nothing to do with the often not-planned teen pregnancy's, however many others believe in more modern statistics like teen waiting to have sex.
4. Teenagers Who Wait:
  • Many teens are beginning to wait more to have sex until marriage or at least later in life.
5. The Use of Two:
  • For the teens who are having sex the use of dual contraceptives is also used which allows the chances of unplanned pregnancy to be significantly low.

6. Conclusion:
  • Keeping the rate low (how to continue solving the issue of teen pregnancy)

In class writing 1

Reading doesn't exactly come easy for me for several reasons. If I were to describe negative reading experiences I would have to say most of them come from in class reading assignments where teachers assign sum 30+ pages of reading a night for some god awful book that I'm not interest in. That's when it becomes difficult because I most of the time don't care for the book because it doesn't spark even the slightest interest and due to that I can stay focused. If I don't care for the book I will often read a passage, turn the page, and completely forget what I just read... Which means I have to go back and read it again and well, thats just no fun. So in conclusion, if it's a book I don't care for, 99% of the books assigned in classes, I just resort to the good ol' spark notes. [:
Another kind of negative reading experiences is when I am handed a prompt that involves writing a paper after reading it, if I don't understand the prompt, which some of my teachers I have had did a terrible job at putting the assignment down on paper, I have to read it over and over and over again...
