zero draft

So this is an atttempt  to write about the political cartoon that I am going to be writing about. I don't really know what to say but I guess this is what freewriting is supposed to help you with is thinking of things.

My cartoon is titled "another labor day cookout" and in the picture is a man who looks homeless, cooking a can of beans over a fire. The thing that first caught my eye was the fire and what was in the fire which was Obama's campaign poster from 2008 with a picture of his face in red white and blue and the word "Hope". Then next to the man was a sign that read " out of work please help". putting those two images together, I figure Obama made promises for jobs this man is out of one and has no hope which is why he is burning that poster and probably trying to say Obama is not the guy who will help our country and the job situation. The whole picture is really ironic because everyone usually has a big nice cookout on labor day but with the poor economy and lack of jobs many might not have that big cookout. This man has only a can of beans which looks as if he bent a wired hanger so that he  could hold one end and have the beans on the other end over the fire. It really just says how poor the economy is and everyday people that these holidays for fun get togethers are not fun anymore and that with the upcoming election maybe it needs to be someone else in office because Obama has not brought the hope he had promised.
